GINGIBER

A few weeks ago I won a giveaway Stacie hosted in her blog Gingiber. She is an incredibly talented illustrator and has been doing a 52 Weeks of Dogs project which in my opinion is really inspiring.
I finally welcomed into my home this stunning illustration of a Greyhound. I don´t have a dog so I feel like even tho he´s not a real one, he will still keep me company!

POSITIVE PLAYLIST: NOTHING EVER HAPPENS

I´ve been listening to really positive music latetly and I´ve also been discovering many great artists. I feel like this deserves to have a little place in my blog because music is really helpful sometimes and it can even change your day for the better. That´s why I´ve started to make a positive playlist to help me stay in a good modd and by sharing it I can also help someone else who is just not having a good day.

He estado escuchando música muy positiva ultimamente y tambien he descubierto muchos artistas talentosos.

And nothing ever happens if you stay in your room.
Nothing ever happens if you leave the party too soon.
You'll never be a winner if you're not in the game.
Nothing ever happens if you always play it safe.
Make a little space and get out of your own way.

APPLE TART

Today I woke up feeling inspired. Suddenly I got this idea out of nowhere. I was gonna make an apple pie and I had the whole thing planned already. I was gonna search for a recipe online and I was gonna search for every single ingredient even if I had to get dressed and leave the house to do so.

I didn´t have some ingredients so I went to the market with my bike, enjoying the sunny day.

I got back home feeling excited about being able to do this new thing but most important, being able to feel excited about something other than staying in bed late on a Saturday morning.

So without further ado, here are some pictures of my little creation:

Hoy me levanté sintiéndome inspirada.

Ahora paso a mostrarles mi pequeña creacion:

RECIPE:

Ingredients:

For the dough:

125 g margarine or butter (room temperature, softened)
Sugar 125 g
8 g of vanilla sugar
1 pinch of salt
Juice of half a lemon
3 eggs
200 g flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons milk

For the surface:

25 g butter
750 g of apples

1) Preheat oven to 180 º C.
2) Use a pie pan of about 25 cm in diameter and a little butter or oil to it´s surface and reserve.
3) Peel the apples, remove the heart and cut into quarters. ( I cut them as thin as I could)
4) For the dough, toss the softened butter in a bowl and gradually add sugar, vanilla sugar (I used vanilla extract), a pinch of salt and half a lemon juice and continue mixing.
5) Add eggs one by one and keep mixing. It is important to gradually add the eggs one by one, beating in between.
6) Before you add the flour, mix with 2 tablespoons of baking powder and then incorporate it into the mixture. Continue beating and add the 2 tablespoons of milk.
7) Fill the mold with the dough and smoothed with a spatula. Place the apples in a crown or top of the dough.
8) ENJOY EATING IT.

I hope you get to try this because it´s delicious!
Have a great Saturday!
