VANILLA AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS CUPCAKES

Today I woke up feeling like I needed to have something sweet. That´s why I decided to make cupcakes. I had never made vanilla cupcakes because I usually go for chocolate ones. I guess I needed a change and try something new.

I found the recipe in Spanish so I´m not sure if you´re gonna understand the measurements. I´m sure you all know how to make cupcakes but.. just in case if you have any doubts just ask!

Recipe

Butter 180 gr.
Sugar 130 gr.
Eggs 3
Vanilla essence 1 ts
Flour 250 gr.
Baking powder 20 gr.
Milk 100 cc.
Chocolate chips AS MANY AS YOU WANT

1- I usually place the butter near the stove so it melts a little and it´s not hard. When it´s soft enough put it in a small bowl and mix it with the sugar. Add the eggs and the vanilla essence and mix it all together.

2- Mix the flour with the baking powder and start adding it to the previous mix along with the milk.

3- Add as many chocolate chips as you want!

4- Put it in the oven and they should be ready in 20 minutes.

Hoy me levanté sintiendo que necesitaba comer algo dulce. Por esta razón decidí hacer cupcakes. Nunca había hecho cupcakes de vainilla porque siempre hago de chocolate. Creo que necesitaba un cambio e intentar algo nuevo.

Encontré la receta en español entonces no se si van a entender como son las medidas. Estoy segura que saben hacer cupcakes pero por si acaso no duden en preguntar si tienen alguna duda.

Receta

Manteca 180 gr.

Azúcar Rubia 130 gr.

Huevos 3

Escencia de Vainilla 1 cdta.

Harina 250 gr.

Polvo de Hornear 20 gr.

Leche 100 cc.

Chips de Chocolate TODOS LOS QUE QUIERAN

1- Usualmente pongo la manteca al lado de una hornalla para que se ablande y asi no está tan dura. Cuando está lo suficientemente blanda poner en un recipiente y mezclarla con el azúcar. Agregar los huevos y la escencia de vainilla. Mezclar todo.

2- Mezclar la harina con el polvo de hornear e ir agregando a la mezcla anterior en forma alternada con la leche.

3- ¡Agregar todos los chips de chocolate que quieran!

4- Poner a horno moderado a fuerte por alrededor de 20 minutos.

¿Cuáles son sus tipos de cupcake favoritos? Mis favoritos son los de chocolate pero ¡estos también me gustaron mucho! :)

LEARNING PHOTOGRAPHY: MORNING & EVENING SKY

A few days ago I started experimenting with photography. It´s a little harder than I thought but I´m enjoying the learning process. I started with taking pictures of the sky in my backyard and these are the shots I liked the best:

Algunos días atras empecé a experimentar con fotografía. Es mas dificil de lo que pensaba pero estoy disfrutando el proceso de aprendizaje. Comencé sacando fotos del cielo en mi patio trasero y estas son las pics que me gustaron más:

I also realized how hard it is to document your life in pictures if you´re not really used to it. For example, when I have lunch or dinner I´m used to just take the plate and then eat it. Now that I discovered the blogging world, I have a slightly urge to take a picture of the food I´m having. Did any of you feel like that when you first started your own blog?

También me dí cuenta cuan dificil es documentar tu vida en fotos si no estas acostumbrado a hacerlo. Por ejemplo, cuando almuerzo o ceno suelo tomar mi plato con comida y comerlo. Ahora que descubrí el mundo de los blogs, tengo un leve impulso a sacarle una foto a mi comida. ¿Alguno se sintió así cuando empezaron su blog?

I´M NOT A CAT PERSON, BUT...

...a few weeks ago a cat that lives in my backyard had three little kittens and for some strange reason I became friends with one of them. I´ve never owned a pet, not even a dog, so this is all new for me. It´s not like he´s mine or anything, he´s still a wild cat and I don´t wanna take away his freedom. I still give him milk tho because he looks so much thinner than his brothers (or sisters who knows? haha) and I want him to grow nice and good!

No soy amante de los gatos pero hace algunas semanas una gata que vive en el fondo de mi casa tuvo tres gatitos y por alguna extraña razón me hice amiga de uno de ellos. Nunca tuve una mascota, ni siquiera un perro. Por eso mismo esta es una nueva experiencia para mí. Esto no significa que sea mío, aun es un gato salvaje y no quiero quitarle su libertad. Igualmente le doy leche porque me parece que esta mucho mas delgado que sus hermanos (o hermanas, quien sabe? jaja) y quiero que crezca fuerte y sano!

MY FIRST PACKAGE SWAP: ANOUCK

You must have seen my face when I got home from work and I saw a small package on my living room table. I think I had the biggest smile on my face! I was gonna start opening it right away but I remembered I wanted to write a post about it. So here´s how it looked before I opened it:

Ojalá hubieran visto mi cara cuando llegué a mi casa del trabajo y vi un pequeño paquete encima de la mesa del living. ¡Creo que tenía la sonrisa más grande en mi rostro! Iba a empezar a abrirlo apenas lo tuve en mis manos pero recordé que quería escribir una entrada sobre el tema. Aquí pueden ver como era el paquete antes de que lo abriera:

I started opening it with my mom. We were both very excited to see what was inside! I already knew that Anouck was really creative but seeing what she made with her own hands made it so real. She´s extremely talented and deserves to accomplish every single one of her dreams.

From earrings to dutch candy.. Her package was like a breath of fresh air!

Empece a abrirlo con mi mama. ¡Ambas estábamos muy emocionadas por saber que había adentro! Ya sabía que Anouck era creativa pero ver lo que hizo con sus propias manos lo hizo mucho más real. Es extremadamente talentosa y merece cumplir cada uno de sus sueños.

Desde aros hasta dulces alemanes.. ¡Su paquete fue como una brisa de aire fresco!

Además me escribió una carta muy linda. Su letra es hermosa, ¿No lo creen?

I still have to send her my package. It´s almost done but I feel like something is missing. I just wanna make it perfect for her! I can´t wait to send her what I chosed!

Aún no le he mandado mi encomienda. Está casi lista pero siento que falta algo. ¡Solo quiero mandarle algo perfecto para ella! ¡No puedo esperar para mandarle lo que elegí!

PEN PALS + PACKAGE EXCHANGE

A couple of days ago I came across a blog related to pen pals and package exchange (You can check it out here: afloodofmemories) The minute I read the first post I just fell in love with the concept of it. I never knew how many people were interested in having a pen pal or in exchanging goodies through mail. I feel like all these wonderful habits have been a little lost over the last few years because of technology. Don´t get me wrong, I adore all my electronic stuff but I always hoped I would be able to use them in a way that could mean something. Even something important that could make someone´s day.

That´s the reason why when I found this blog I started looking more into it and I´m really excited to tell you that I´m sending out my 2 first pen pal letters tomorrow! =)

I´ve also been preparing a little package for Anouck which I hope she likes. I never knew how hard it was to pick stuff for someone and actually be sure that they´re gonna like it!

Hace unos días encontre un blog sobre amigos por correspondencia e intercambio de paquetes (Lo pueden mirar aquí: afloodofmemories) Desde el momento que leí la primer entrada me encantó el concepto del mismo. Nunca imaginé cuanta gente estaba interesada en tener amigos por correspondencia o intercambiar paquetes por correo. Siento que estos hábitos se han ido perdiendo un poco en los últimos años a raiz del crecimiento en el uso de la tecnología. No me malinterpreten, adoro todas mis artefactos electrónicas pero siempre tuve la esperanza de usarlas en una manera que significara algo. Hasta quizás que significara algo importante que pudiera cambiar el dia de una persona.

Esta es la razón por la cual cuando encontré este blog empecé a investigar sobre el tema y estoy muy emocionada por contarles que mañana voy a mandar mis primeras cartas a dos amigas por correspondencia que encontré gracias a este blog. =)

También he estado preparando un paquete para Anouck que espero que le guste. ¡Nunca pensé que sería tan difícil elegir cosas para alguien y además estar seguro de que le van a gustar!

¿Qué piensan de esto? ¿Tienen un amigo por correspondencia? ¿Alguna vez han intercambiado cosas lindas con personas de otro país y cultura?
